the revolution will be televised

SOMETIMES, TELEVISION
can be such sick fun:
the live interpreter who takes
al Gaddafi’s rant
by the horns and soon
the two men are in wild synergy,
their impromptu voices
breathing virtually in unison,
driven by satellite incongruity.
Television has not given us
such consonant-and-lectern
thumping yet. And not
to forget that fighter jet
in the setting Libyan sun,
caught like a monstrous lie
by a common man's hand.
